作者は海と空を同時に背景として視界に捉えている。前景は一瞬の海鳥の飛翔である。
その飛翔の軌跡とともに風の道ができるというのである。短い作品ながら言い得て絶妙である。
A seagull flies over the spacious water. It flies, leaving behind a wind’s way in the blue sky. The author commands the background view of both sea and sky. A flying seagull should be a foreground in this haiku. “Ｗind’s way” functions as a beautiful key term to raise a pictorial image in this haiku.
